Mountains and Basins
The Mountains and Basins region of texas is the smallest region in Texas. This region has the least amount of rainfall in Texas. Just in case if you didn't know a Basin is another word for a desert. The major cities of this region are El Paso and Pecos. There are no sub-regions known here but another word for this region is West Texas. Points of interest are Big Bend and the Pecos River wich is one of the landforms of this region. Big bend is a part of the mountains and basins region where the Rio Grande river makes an "S" shape. The climate here is very hot in this region. The only known resources here are the water from the Rio Grande and the Pecos river. The Mountains and Basins region is One-Thousand feet above sea level unlike the Gulf Coastal Plains. Guadalupe Peak the highest mountain peak in Texs. The vegatation of this region is a desserty type of land.
