The Coastal Plains
The Coastal Plains region of Texas is a region along the gulf coast. These Coastal Plains are bordered by water on its eastern side. The major cities of this region are Houston, Dallas, Galveston, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, Leredo, Beaumont, Austin the capitol of texas and San Antonio. The sub-regions of the Coastal Plains are The Gulf coast Plain, Poast oak Belt, The Blackland Prarie and the piney woods. There are many points of interest here such as beaches, lakes, museaums and the capitol of Texas. The climate here is warm,salty and windy. There isn't just water in the coastal plains, there's all sorts of different landforms! I have talked about most of them alredy but there is one more im going talk about which is an Escarpment. An escarpment is a steep cliff. Balcones Escarpment, another point of interest is a thousand feet high. The coastal plains also have droughts every now and then. The land cover of the Coastal Plains is grassy with wetlands, beaches, Bays and Rivers. The landforms of this region are all bodies of water. Resources used in this region are water and crops. Opportunities of this region are fishing, jobs such as agricultural and ecinomical stuff and education.
